This will take you to three cottages called Langfields, at which point you will see, a sign to Hilldrop Farm, Barn, and the Hideaway. Continue up the road for another 750 yards, ignoring the first right-hander to Hilldrop House; but take the next right into the farmyard.
Go straight towards and around a small old grain house, being distinctive as it is set on stone mushrooms. Park adjacent to the brick and flint stables where signposted or in front of either of the wooden garages leaving enough room for them to open please – this is beyond the mushroom-legged grain store and part of the long stable flint stable block.
To the right, as you look at the stables, is the original farmhouse, and adjacent is a path with a flint wall- this leads you to the Hideway. This should be floodlit at night. The key to the Hideway is on the porch and a code will be provided.
There is a security gate to the farmyard that closes at 8.00 pm, which will only be required after 8.00 pm and 6.30 am. This gate will automatically open at 6.30 am and will also open automatically when exiting from the farm after 8.00 pm. If this is, for some reason not working don’t panic, please come up the main drive taking the sign to Hilldrop House– drive past our home and go into the farmyard from that direction. From London:
Take Exit 14 off the M4, at the roundabout turn left towards HUNGERFORD (A338), and turn right at the mini roundabout in HUNGERFORD (next to the petrol station).
Go over the small bridge and after 100 yards turn right at the roundabout opposite another petrol station and thus bypass Hungerford. ½ mile on turn right again onto the B4192 and travel 1 mile to CHILTON FOLIAT. Pass through Chilton Foliat and after 2 miles take the 1st turning left to RAMSBURY. This road takes you to Ramsbury High Street. Fork left at the large tree next to The Bell (pub) and follow to the end of the high street where the road bends to the right and almost immediately to the left.
As you come out of this left-hand bend turn right onto Hilldrop Lane. Go up the Hill and take the 4th right-hand turn after approximately ¾ mile signed posted Hilldrop Barn and the Hideaway.
